Greetings!
I trust your week has been a good one. Today we will take a look at how a gentile recognized Christ’s authority and how, in many cases, people reject the power of Christ and beg him to leave them alone.
Thank you for taking time to join me for another episode of Walking the New Testament!
A Centurion recognizes the authority of Christ
“The centurion replied, “Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it. When Jesus heard this, he was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.”” Verses 8-10
People beg Christ to leave them alone
“Then the whole town went out to meet Jesus. And when they saw him, they pleaded with him to leave their region.” Verse 34
