Hello Everyone! Thank you for stopping by again. It means a lot to me that you give me a few minutes of your valuable time as we wade through The New Testament together.
I know these podcasts aren’t always “polished” as some others seem to be. I don’t spend time finding music to put behind the words I speak, etc. But, I have always wanted this to be real… not loaded with a lot of fluff. I don’t want distractions.
If you thought you were alone in listening to this podcast, you are not! Just take a peek at the chart above. The audience is consistently growing and though you may only see a couple of comments and likes, know that you are part of a group that is, like me, searching for the truth. A truth we may not always get from the pulpit.
I try very hard not to let too much of my own “doctrine” be in these podcasts. My goal has always been to just talk about the Word itself. Though I will definetly go off on a tangent now and then, it is very important to me that I try to keep things in context. I only want to share what I’ve gleaned over the week while I delve into each chapter.
This week we are going to take a quick look at the Disciples… how they all fell away, yet came back to be miracle workers that changed the whole world. Maybe we can be miracle workers too. We can’t listen to the lies of the great Deceiver (the Devil) who wants us to give up. Sometimes though, we might need to do as Peter did… and weep bitterly.
“Then Jesus told them, “This very night you will all fall away on account of me…” Matthew 26: 31 NIV
“But Peter declared, “Even if I have to die with you, I will never disown you.” And all the other disciples said the same.” Matthew 26: 35 NIV
“Then all the disciples deserted him and fled.” Matthew 26: 56
“Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times.” And he went outside and wept bitterly.” Matthew 26: 75 NIV
