Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend as we ease into Autumn and temperatures (hopefully) begin cooling and leaves start turning. It is just around the corner!
Matthew 28 is the story of the ressurection as told by Matthew. Today I plan to talk just a little bit about a couple of things that are often overlooked in this chapter. There’s a lot of amazing great news in chapter 28… but there’s also a couple of valuable lessons for us to think about.
“So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.” Matthew 28: 15 NIV
“So the police accepted the bribe and said what they were told to. Their story spread widely among the Jews and is still believed by them to this very day.” Matthew 28: 15 TLB
“When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted.” Matthew 28: 17 NIV
“…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28: 20 NIV
